Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert

Bordering the Rue Neuve shopping street, a porch contrasts sharply with the uniformity of the windows of the big labels. The Passage du Nord has been enjoying a veritable resurrection for some years. Linking the Boulevard Adolphe Max, it is home to a pretty glass roof, Baroque statues and a plethora of boutiques. But the most spectacular example of arcades in Brussels is found next to the Grand-Place. The oldest covered passages in Europe (1849), the Galeries Royales Saint Hubert are made up of three parts: the Galerie du Roi, the Galerie de la Reine and the Galerie des Princes. The leather goods shop Delvaux set up there and rubs shoulders with restaurants (Ogenblik, Taverne du Passage), an elegant bookshop (Tropisme), as well as chocolate shops (Corné Port-Royal).
