Helmut Newton Foundation

It is June Newton, better known in the photographic world as Alice Spring, who runs this museum dedicated to her husband, who was born in Berlin in 1920. Housed in a former casino inspired by neoclassical architecture, the Helmut Newton Foundation explores different aspects of the life and work of the provocative photographer through a number of permanent exhibitions. It also puts iconic pieces by the photographer alongside works by contemporary artists, and is committed to being a museum of photography in its own right, above and beyond the work of the master of black and white images.
