Museum of Transport & Technology

In the buildings that make up the MOTAT, Auckland’s Museum of Transport and Technology, you can marvel at the history of locomotion. Housed within a converted pump house, steam trains, antique traction engines, old fire engines and other civilian vehicles take visitors back several decades into the past. In the second building, the focus is on aviation, along with military transport since the Second World War. Educational, fun and fascinating for anybody with any particular interest in the subject as well as curious minds.
