New Zealand Maritime Museum

Housed in Auckland’s Port, the New Zealand Maritime Museum is dedicated to the country’s history seen through the prism of the sea. The venue also boasts a delightful view of the ocean. Lighthouses, immigration, Maori canoes, the great seafarers and iconic races are some of the themes explored in this fun, interactive experience. Boats, educational films and models tell the story of New Zealand’s maritime past in 14 themed galleries. Don’t miss the museum’s masterpiece: Peter Blake’s famous boat, on which he won the America’s Cup.
