Triennale Design Museum

Having opened in 2007 within the Palazzo dell’Arte Bernocchi in Milan’s verdant Parco Sempione, the Triennale Design Museum is the first Italian museum dedicated entirely to design, which historically has always been one of the city’s specialties. While the themes and layout change yearly, this cutting-edge event is guaranteed to push the boundaries of modern design. The garden (free entry) houses the Bagni Misteriosi (Mysterious Baths), a unique fountain created in 1973 by artist Giorgio De Chirico, which was recently unveiled to the public following a major restoration. Make sure to visit the vast terrace of the top floor restaurant which offers a superb view of the city skyline.
